These days, many of us are looking for more interesting, creative, and personalized ways to express to each other how we are feeling—whether it’s saying “I love you” or “I’m hungry,” or anything in between. To celebrate the release of the new Samsung Galaxy Note8, our Samsung team collaborated with some of the greatest illustrators in the world to show off the level of detail, creativity, and communication, that the new Galaxy Note8 and S Pen unlock. We worked with (9) illustrators (Hattie Stewart, Annu Kilpelainen, Will Bryant, Tyler Spangler, Laura Callaghan, Ewa Mos, Richie Velasqez, Camilla Perkins, and Ana Strumpf) on a Times Square taken over to showcase everything a person can communicate with the Galaxy Note8, the S Pen, and a little bit of creativity.

My background in directing, virtual reality, gaming, animation, and post-production/finishing in NY landed me a position on the Laika Studios team amid the development of various mobile and web app games for the Kubo and The Two Strings film release that August (LAIKA Studios and Focus Pictures).

Blending virtual reality with real reality, KFC is using VR technology to teach its cooks how to make Original Recipe® fried chicken in an entirely unique, hands-on and modern way. “The Hard Way – a KFC Virtual Training Escape Room” is designed as an escape room where Colonel Sanders gives his trainees hints and clues along the way to ensure they are making fried chicken the Hard Way – the way that he invented more than 70 years ago.
